Welcome! This community discusses all aspects of machine learning and data mining including the use of GPUs for neural networks, genetic algorithms, Bayesian networks, clustering, PCA, ICA, MDS and other techniques. Since this is a data-intensive area, posts related to data handling are also encouraged.  As community interests manifest themselves, new forum topics can be created to focus participation.

My own research has contributed to the field of neural networks. In addition, I have utilized many of the listed techniques as a scientist and entrepreneur to address problems of interest in science and industry.

Hopefully others share my keen interest in finding efficient and scalable mappings to massively parallel systems like GPUs. I also try to help others think and program in a massively parallel fashion with my series of tutorials on the Doctor Dobb’s Journal  website, “CUDA, Supercomputing for the Masses” as well as Scientific Computing and other publications.

The intention is to make our community the focal point for a multitude of quality discussions on real-world problems and solutions that can be used as a searchable knowledge base to benefit everyone interested in the use of GPUs for machine learning and data mining.
